Role: Senior Video Director/Video Editor
Creativebug is a subscription based educational platform with thousands of award-wining classes taught by top designers and artists. As the Senior Video Director, I oversee a team responsible for directing, shooting and editing video footage for classes and live shoots. Bringing my creative vision to visual storytelling, I create craft content that is direct, engaging and approachable for beginners.
Fine artist and illustrator Lisa Congdon is best known for her colorful abstract paintings, intricate line drawings, pattern design & hand lettering. I directed two classes: Developing Your Visual Vocabulary: A Daily Practice Practice in Mark Making, and One Square At a Time: Making Art on a Grid. In addition, I filmed an documentary style sizzle to re-promote Creativebug's most watched and engaged class, Daily Drawing Challenge with Lisa Congdon. I acted as a one-woman band, flying to Portland to film and produce myself, and then overseeing the edit. Included here is the promotional video to "replay" that class, and an overview trailer for One Square At a Time.
